Is a particular dog still available?

If the dog is on our website, then likely he or she is still available, but what we can’t tell you and what we don’t know is that there may be an application already making arrangements to meet and possibly adopt that dog.  Your best bet is to complete the online application and let our adoption counselors work with you to find a good fit.  CLICK HERE

How much does it cost?

All the dogs in our care are up to date on vaccines including Rabies, Parvo / Distemper / Lepto, all are tested for heartworm and are on preventatives.  All are chipped, spayed or neutered.  Prices range from $250-$350 depending on age, sometimes we have promotions.  All this is detailed on the website:  CLICK HERE

Can I meet a particular dog?

Because we don’t have a facility, it takes a logistical dance to arrange for a dog meeting.  We try to have our dogs out in public as much as possible, you can check our calendar on the website to find out when and where.  To meet a dog, you would need to move forward in the adoption process by filling out an application.  An adoption counselor will work with you to find a dog that best matches your wants and needs.  CLICK HERE

What is your process to adopt?

The adoption process can be found online:  CLICK HERE

Will you ship a dog out of state?

We ask that you meet the dog in person.  We will consider out of area applications but ask that you make the drive to meet and pick up the dog in person.  We don’t ship dogs.

Where is a particular dog located?

Our fosters generally live near the following metropolitan locations in the states listed.

Nebraska: Omaha or Lincoln

Iowa:  Des Moines / Ames

Colorado:  Denver / Colorado Springs

Kansas:  Kansas City

Arkansas:  Northwest Arkansas

Tennessee: Memphis

I need to surrender my dog.

Due to the high number of requests, we get from area shelters, we are often not able to accept owner surrender dogs into rescue.

We want to help, but we find ourselves running at maximum capacity due to the high number of Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes in shelters who are running out of time. We have chosen to prioritize these dogs who are facing death.

We can help direct you to resources to help you work through the issues you are having to keep your beloved
pet in its home. Please click here to find resources to help you rehome your dog.

I am with a shelter and am asking to transfer a dog to your rescue

We ask that your shelter is within our impact radius, generally near the metro areas of Omaha or Lincoln, Nebraska, Des Moines, Iowa, Kansas City, Missouri, Denver or Colorado Springs, Colorado, Memphis, Tennessee, or Northwest Arkansas.  We ask that you complete one intake request form per dog:  CLICK HERE

I need behavioral help with my dog.

We are not trainers or behavior experts.  We are happy to offer advice, but we strongly suggest you search for a relationship-based trainer or a positive reinforcement trainer in your area.  Often first-time consults are free.

Please check out the information on the RESOURCES tab on our website. We recommend consulting a virtual trainer through Good Pup if one is not available locally.
