Is a particular dog still available?
If the dog is on our website, then likely he or she is still available, but what we can’t tell you and what we don’t know is that there may be an application already making arrangements to meet and possibly adopt that dog. Your best bet is to complete the online application and let our adoption counselors work with you to find a good fit. CLICK HERE
How much does it cost?
All the dogs in our care are up to date on vaccines including Rabies, Parvo / Distemper / Lepto, all are tested for heartworm and are on preventatives. All are chipped, spayed or neutered. Prices range from $250-$350 depending on age, sometimes we have promotions. All this is detailed on the website: CLICK HERE
Can I meet a particular dog?
Because we don’t have a facility, it takes a logistical dance to arrange for a dog meeting. We try to have our dogs out in public as much as possible, you can check our calendar on the website to find out when and where. To meet a dog, you would need to move forward in the adoption process by filling out an application. An adoption counselor will work with you to find a dog that best matches your wants and needs. Will you ship a dog out of state?
We ask that you meet the dog in person. We will consider out of area applications but ask that you make the drive to meet and pick up the dog in person. We don’t ship dogs.
Where is a particular dog located?
Our fosters generally live near the following metropolitan locations in the states listed.
Nebraska: Omaha or Lincoln

Arkansas: Northwest Arkansas metro
Tennessee: Memphis
I need to surrender my dog.
Please refer to the information on the website: CLICK HERE
Currently, requests for us to help with a shelter or owner surrender dog exceed the number of open foster homes. We do not have a facility, every dog we accept into rescue must live in a volunteer's home; safely with their resident dogs and family members.
Due to the extremely high number of requests at this time, we are forced to prioritize dogs based on proximity to our volunteers, temperament fit with available volunteers, and shelter dogs facing certain death due to overcrowding.
I am with a shelter and am asking to transfer a dog to your rescue
We also ask that your shelter is within our impact radius, generally the states of NE, IA, KS, MO, CO, AR. We ask that you complete the intake request form: CLICK HERE
We understand this is an extra step, but we get dozens of requests every day and we have to manage this, so they are not lost in the shuffle.
I need behavioral help with my dog.
We are not trainers or behavior experts. We are happy to offer advice, but we strongly suggest you search for a relationship-based trainer or a positive reinforcement trainer in your area. Often first-time consults are free. We are happy to share links to resources to give you a place to start: CLICK HERE
