Welcome to Taysia Blue Siberian Husky Rescue!  We're glad you stopped by to learn more about us and to meet some of our wonderful adoptable dogs!  Many people have asked us if there's a need for a Siberian Husky rescue in the middle of the country.  When we formed, we thought that maybe we'd help eight to ten huskies each year.  We were sadly surprised that the need is to help hundreds.

Taysia Blue Siberian Husky Rescue is based in Omaha, Nebraska with a foster and volunteer network that stretches to Lincoln, Des Moines, IA, Kansas City, MO, and beyond.  We are surrounded by the largest puppy mill states in the country.  Puppy mills are large commercial dog breeding operations that supply puppies to pet stores, sell puppies in local newspapers or on websites.

Homeless Siberian huskies begin their journey to Taysia Blue Siberian Husky Rescue in a variety of ways.  We prioritize our intake of Siberian huskies by focusing on relieving area shelters who are out of space and time, who have Siberian huskies that are scheduled to be euthanized.

We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Our all volunteer mission provides a network to shelter, rehabilitate and re-home Siberian huskies in the Midwest who are misplaced, abused, neglected, abandoned or surrendered by their owners.  Our goal is to place these dogs in loving, permanent and carefully screened homes. We provide education about the breed characteristics of the Siberian husky and responsible dog ownership.

We also offer an opportunity for Siberian husky and other Northern breed enthusiasts to meet and for the dogs to play. We receive no public subsidies and are funded solely through donations by adopters and supporters. We envision a day when all companion animals no longer face inhumane treatment, abandonment or perish in shelters, a day when there are no more homeless pets.
